Relay is a Melbourne based M-Bus manufacturer that specialises in M-Bus masters, slaves, accessories and software.
Their target demographic were male and female Melbourne students, aged between 18-30 years old.
Relay’s primary goal was to promote their M-Bus products in Australia. Their secondary goal was to direct traffic to Automation Industries in the case that the visitor wanted to get in contact.
Dynamic Pages | Contact Form | SEO | Mobile Optimisation
The deliverables for this project were website design (including the use of WiX Code to create 40 dynamic pages) and social media creation.
I started with comprehensive research into Relay’s target audience and competition to assist me in capturing the design of the website that would achieve Relay’s goals. Target audience research enables me to understand what is important to the desired website visitor. Competition research allows me to leverage from their successes and to create a website that will stand out.
Once I completed my research, I set out designing a website that was clean, professional and easy to navigate.
The home page banner clearly explains what Relay offers and evokes the visitor to take one of two possible actions: “view product range or “contact us”. Having the next steps available to your website’s visitor encourages them to stay on your website, which will contribute to a higher level of customer conversions.
The next section of the home page displays the products categories and provides links to view the extensive product range or to find the product the visitor is after.
As said above, I used WiX Code to create 40 dynamic pages. The data the populates these dynamic pages is stored in a database and the pages automatically dimply the relevant information (depend on the available information).
